SmartMessage by Intech — Developer REST API & Plugins

The SmartMessage REST API provides high-throughput business messaging and wallet query endpoints for Sri Lankan enterprises across all major telecom networks (Dialog, Mobitel, Airtel, Hutch).

1. Authentication

All API requests must include your secret API key inside the custom HTTP request header:

X-API-KEY: your_secret_api_key_here

2. Endpoint: Send SMS (Dispatch)

Request Parameters

3. Endpoint: Check Account Balance (Read-Only)

Retrieve your live credit balance in LKR, current SMS price tier, estimated messages remaining, and list of authorized sender masks.

Quick Setup Guide:

In your WordPress dashboard, navigate to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.
Select smartmessage-sms-for-woocommerce.zip and click Activate.
Go to WooCommerce > SmartMessage SMS in your sidebar.
Enter your API Secret Key and approved Sender ID.
Customize order notification templates and save changes!

5. Sri Lankan Phone Number Normalization

The gateway automatically cleans and standardizes phone numbers to standard 94XXXXXXXXX format:
